1. Why do you think it is a good idea to understand a rule prior to breaking it? That way you know what you are breaking, and you understand the consequences and effects pf breaking it. 2. When applying the Rule of Thirds, how many sections do you create? how many intersections? You create 9 sections, and 4 intersections. 3. Why does placing the subject at the intersection or along a line feel more natural to the viewer? Because it is somewhat in a line of symmetry. Also their eyes will naturally try and look towards the middle. 4. When photographing a landscape, where should the horizon line be placed? The horizon line should be places either 1/3 up, or 2/3 up. 5. What are two questions you might want to consider when composing an image? You will want to consider where the subject is located, and how much sky/ground you want to include(in a horizon shot).

Applying the Rule of Thirds - Practice makes Perfect. Go out and take 20 images that use the Rule of thirds. Be creative, try interesting points of views, and move in close. But make sure to place the subject at one of the Rule of Thirds intersections.
Horizon line - Create at s 10 images that that include a horizon line and the line is placed at 1/3 or 2/3's of the frame. These images can still include people and buildings, they do not have to be only landscapes.
